Evoking nostalgic memories inspired by the world around us.
"Your paintings make me feel homesick in a way that digs up memories that are so deep, memories where I can remember not even one specific detail, a memory of feeling and emotion, and nothing more. I see a place that I once knew, a place maybe from another time, another life. It stirs up a longing to be there once again, to go home." ~Ed, one of my collectors
Since I was a child, I have been enamored with nature and the world around me. From the bright oranges of the autumn leaves in the fall, to the stark lines of the bare trees contrasted against the white snowy backdrop of the long winters, to the rushing waters coming off the mountains in the spring exposing the earth yet again, to the various greens and colorful flower blooms in the summer. The layering of the mountains as they grew faint in the distance pulled at my imagination of what is out there vs where I was. These laid the foundation for where my imagination developed and, therefore, where it still finds its roots.
